This was Hannah's very first softball game. So they lost this game badly-- I know the scoreboard in the photos makes it look worse than it really was. Final score was 9-4. In all honesty, I don't think they set up the teams quite fairly. Hannah's team was brand new this year. Some of the teams consist of mostly 3rd graders and they've played together in past years... so the cards were stacked against the Cubs as they took on the Ponytail Posse today. But they played their little hearts out and learned so much... and Hannah got a hit. Yay! She only made it to 2nd base, but we thought that was great! She also got to play 3rd base, pitcher, shortstop, and outfield. Now Ashley has her first soccer game next Saturday-- we'll see how that goes!
